Combining day and night vision sights eliminates the need to re-zero the sights. The AN PVS-24 M2124 Clip-On Night Vision Sight unit may also be used as a hand-held observation device. The CNVD attaches to the Picatinny Rail in front of the day sight and includes a quick-disconnect, single-throw lever mounting.
