Mendip Type 1 often referred to as MOT Type 1 is a crushed limestone inert granular material produced to UK specification (often used as a sub-base in construction). This high-quality aggregate is graded and processed to provide a compactable, load-bearing layer that is suitable for a variety of groundwork applications. Type 1 is commonly specified for: Sub-bases beneath patios, driveways and paving Hardcore layers for roads and paths Compactable base under block paving General groundworks where strength and stability are key Produced from Mendip limestone, this material compacts well under vibration, providing a solid base layer.
