The Mini Tech-Tool 4 brings the best aspects of the 2 & 3 together for a functional trifecta. One blade is a hollow ground 12C27 drop point, one a multipurpose tool and the third a set of sturdy folding scissors. This version is equipped with striking, Zebra Wood handle scales for a warm and classy look and feel. As with all natural materials there will be some variation to the pattern and coloration of the wood from piece to piece Brand new, direct from Boker knives. Blades: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 executed with a razor sharp hollow grind and beautiful polished finish. There is plenty of edge for light EDC tasks while maintaining a length that is legal in most areas. Opening is facilitated via a generous nail nick on the blade. The secondary ‘blade’ is a multi-functional tool featuring a flat-head screwdriver, belt cutter and bottle opener while the third is a set of scissors for light-duty cutting tasks. Handle: The Mini Tech-Tool 4 has a simple, slip joint construction with stainless liners and back springs supporting smooth, contoured, Zebra Wood handles that provide a striking look and great in-hand feel. Zebra Wood is an exotic hard wood used in fine wood working such as musical instruments and furniture and makes a great knife handle due to its stability and weather resistance. The back spring offers secure use without a half-stop. Boker’s Mini Tech-Tool comes with a stainless steel split ring for key chain carry. Does not have a clip for pocket carry. Sandvik 12c27: 12c27 is a high purity Swedish stainless steel with excellent edge performance allowing for razor sharpness, high hardness, exceptional toughness and good corrosion resistance. In addition to knives 12c27 is used in high-end ice skate blades and ice drills. Working hardness range is 54-61 HRC depending on the end use.
